Next stop on the DP World Tour is the Open de France, which will be played out over four days this week at the picturesque Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines golf course. But just what is the Open de France prize money on offer and what is the full breakdown that the players will be looking to win?

2024 Open de France Prize Money Purse Is $5m

A decent golf field will head to France this week for the Open de France – that will include Billy Horschel, Justin Rose and Rasmus Højgaard – with the players battling it out for a $5m purse.

This Open de France prize money will be broken down between 1st and 65th position (see the full purse listings below).

The tournament is also one of the prime DP World Tour events in the final stages of the season – with players looking to secure more points to qualify for the top 70 standings that will make the end-of-season play-offs.

Ryder Cup golf fans will also remember the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines course as it was the host of the 2018 renewal, which saw Europe win 17.5-10.5 over the US, with Thomas Bjorn as the European captain.

The course is also famous for having a lot of the ‘wet stuff’ – with water in-play in 10 of the 18 holes, so we can expect a lot of splish-splashing.

How Much Will The 2024 Open de France Winner Get?

Of the $5 purse the Open de France prize money for the winning player is $552,500, with the runner-up getting $357,500 and the third $204,750.

While, even the 65th finisher will bank $7,800.

Who Is Favourite To Win The 2024 Open de France?

If the best golf betting sites in the UK are anything to go by, then this week’s Open de France looks a tight event.

World ranked 17th, Billy Horschel tops the market (just), as the US player looks become the first Stateside golfer to win the Open de France since Byron Nelson way back in 1955.

Just behind Horschel with the best betting sites in the UK is world number nine Rasmus Højlund, with Matt Wallace, Thriston Lawrence and Victor Perez next in the market.

The 2024 Open de France field will also consist of Justin Rose, who is looking for his first worldwide win since 2023, but the Englishman has history at the 71-par Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines golf course, having been part of the 2018 Ryder Cup winning team that year.

Ryo Hisatsune Won The 2023 Open de France

12 months ago, Ryo Hisatsune lifted the Open de France title after carding 270 over his four rounds which saw him end -14 and two strokes ahead of Jordan Smith and Jeff Winther.
