A Carlos Alcaraz rally against Daniil Medvedev in the China Open semi-final stunned the onlooking crowd in Beijing.
The 21-year-old made light work of his opponent as he cruised to a straight-sets victory. Furthermore, it is Alcaraz’s third consecutive win against the Russian.
Earlier this year, the Spaniard beat Medvedev in the Wimbledon semi-final as well as the final at Indian Wells. Now, he has made the final of the China Open at the expense of the 28-year-old.
However, the most recent 7-5, 6-3 win didn’t tell the whole story of a fascinating match up. The pair certainly entertained the crowd with a stunning display of world class tennis.
Earlier this week, Alcaraz said he was ready to go to ‘war’ with Medvedev to secure his place in the final. He will now face World No.1 Jannik Sinner.

Carlos Alcaraz Rally Stuns China Open Spectators
The Carlos Alcaraz rally vs Daniil Medvedev occurred in the first set with the Spaniard leading 3-2. A total of 19 shots were hit before the World No. 3 finally claimed the point.
Both players entertained the crowd with a series of stunning returns, lobs, forehands and backhands before the spectacle came to a stunning conclusion.

Jannik Sinner Vs Carlos Alcaraz In The 2024 China Open Final
After the incredible Carlos Alcaraz rally, the Spanish sensation will now meet World No.1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner in the China Open final.
More notably, both tennis stars are the 2024 Grand Slam champions. Alcaraz tasted victory at the French Open and Wimbledon earlier this year.
Sinner landed the Australian Open title as well as the US Open in New York. It’s Alcaraz’s first ATP final in Asia where he’ll be hoping to dethrone his Italian opponent.
