The time for waiting is almost over as developers Sports Interactive have announced the official FM25 (Football Manager 25) release date. 

Furthermore, the trailer for the newest edition of the world renowned management simulation game was dropped on September 30.

Most notably, FM25 will be the first in the popular franchise to use Unity. The powerful game engine is behind a plethora of the world’s most famous console and PC video games.

One of the biggest changes to FM25 will be the user interface. Sports Interactive confirmed a total overhaul which has been taken on board and developed via people’s playing habits.

Also, player animations will be taken from real football scenarios. The aim is to provide users with a more genuine ‘feel’ and bring them closer to the real-life matchday experience.

Recently, Sports Interactive and the Premier League struck a lucrative deal which means all 20 English top-flight clubs will be licensed for future editions of the game.

FM25 Release Date Has Been Confirmed

Although Sports Interactive initially aimed for early November, the official global FM25 release date has been confirmed for November 26 via studio director Miles Jacobson.

“It’s a great honour today to be confirming the forthcoming release of Football Manager 25. As I’ve mentioned in interviews and development updates, the FM25 cycle has been challenging for the entire SI team.“

Another new edition to FM25 is the introduction of women’s football. It will sit alongside the men’s game in one universal portal. Naturally, Jacobson shared his delight in the breakthrough.

“FM25 is just the starting point for the studio’s next 20, 30 years. It’s also the point where the world gets to see two of our multi-year projects come to fruition. The switch to the Unity engine and the introduction of Women’s Football.

“It gives us a real sense of achievement to begin sharing our hard work with you and we’re really looking forward to showing you more of the game in the weeks before the game’s release.”

As ever, FM25 will be available on PC/Mac, FM25 Console (Xbox/PS5) and FM25 Mobile (Netflix) and FM25 Touch (Nintendo Switch). The latter is set for a December 3 release.
