Tua Tagovailoa
The Alabama quarterback led the Crimson Tide to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, becoming the Offensive MVP and earning the Walter Camp Award. A hip injury threatened Tua Tagovailoa’s abilities, but he became the 2020 draft’s No. 5 overall pick, chosen by the Miami Dolphins.
Backing up journey QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Hawaii native stepped up to become the franchise leader by the eighth week of the 2020 season. Tagovailoa fractured his ribs in the early 2021 season, but he returned to lead the team to a 5-game winning streak, becoming the first Dolphins quarterback since Dan Marino (1994) to throw at least 21 completions in the first half of a game. Currently, Tagovailoa is the only left-handed quarterback starting in the NFL.
