The 2024 MLB season will soon be over but we still need to crown a champion. Out of the American League, this season are the New York Yankees. It’s their first World Series appearance since 2009. New York is led by Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Giancarlo Stanton. Representing the National League in the World Series are the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Their last appearance in the World Series was in 2020 when they beat the Rays 4-2. That was a COVID year where fans were not allowed to attend games during the regular season. However, there was limited seating during the postseason. Los Angeles is led by Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Fredie Freeman.

Both lineups in the 2024 World Series are filled with serious star power. Several players could legitimately win World Series MVP. Who is the favorite to win this postseason?

What player has the lowest odds to win World Series MVP?

Ahead of Game 1 on Friday, sportsbooks around the country will take wagers on several props and futures. One of them will be the World Series MVP. DraftKings sportsbooks have Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani at (+200) with the lowest odds of winning the prestigious award. Ohtani led the National League with 134 runs, 54 home runs, 130 RBIs, a .646 slugging percentage, and a 1.036 OPS. He has three home runs and 10 RBIs in the 2024 postseason. Los Angeles is also favored to win the series.

The next lowest odds to win World Series MVP is Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees at (+400). While Judge struggled early in the 2024 postseason for New York, his bat woke up in the ALCS. During the regular season, Judge’s 58 home runs, 144 RBIs, .701 slugging percentage, and 1.150 OPS led the American League.

After Judge is his Yankee teammate Juan Soto at (+500) to win World Series MVP. This is Soto’s first season with New York after the Yankees made a trade for him. He had a fantastic regular season and has been clutch for New York in the postseason. Soto has three postseason home runs in 2024 but his biggest was in Game 5 to give New York a 5-2 lead in the top of the 10th. That home run was a dagger to the Guardians and the Yankees won the series 4-1.
