First it was the hysteria surrounding the Beatles, now Premier League soccer clubs are about to take the USA by storm.

The English invasion of ten Premier League teams – half of the country’s top-flight clubs – will give U.S. fans a chance to see their heroes up close.

Throughout July and August 2024, England’s biggest and most famous elite clubs will descend on to the Land of the Free.

Supporters can expect to see their favorite stars from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City in action.

Furthermore, here at SportsCasting.com, we took a deeper look into all 20 English Premier League clubs and determined who has to cover the most miles during the 2024 pre-season period.

However, we excluded the Newcastle and Tottenham friendly in Melbourne at the end of the 2023/24 season. Owing to the fact it isn’t technically part of the 2024 summer pre-season period.

The same applies to the Magpies 8-0 loss to the A-League All Stars. The games were played in May 2024.

Manchester United To Cover 14,932 Miles

Unsurprisingly, the most famous team in the Premier League – Manchester United – will cover the furthest distance. The Red Devils will register 14,932 miles in total this summer.

Erik ten Hag’s side will play three games in the USA. They will face Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Betis across two U.S. states.

Furthermore, they played and lost to Rosenborg in Trondheim, Norway on July 15. They are set to face Rangers in Edinburgh on July 20 before jetting off to the USA.

Brighton, Bournemouth And Wolves Travel Further Than Manchester City

The 2024 pre-season will see Brighton, Bournemouth and Wolves travel further than Premier League champions Manchester City. All three sides finished mid-table in 2023/24.

Fabian Hürzeler’s team meet the Kashima Antlers and Tokyo Verdy in Japan. They will then face QPR at Loftus Road in August – clocking up a total of 12,102 miles before a couple of home games.

Gary O’Neil’s side will cover 13,392 miles when they take on Crystal Palace and West Ham in the U.S. They also racked up approximately 3,000 miles from a training game against Como in Marbella. Whereas, City plays across four eastern states and will cover 10,035 miles.

The Cherries have two fixtures to play in the U.S. They will clock up a 10,898 mile round trip in doing so when they face Arsenal and Wrexham in California.

2024 Pre-Season: Everton Cover Less Than 1,000 Miles

In what will be a historical season for Everton, the Toffees will be covering the least miles. Sean Dyche’s men’s furthest journey is to Sligo Rovers, Ireland.

They have local friendlies booked in against EFL sides Salford, Coventry and Preston. There is just one fixture booked in at Goodison Park against Serie A side Roma in August.

After flirting with relegation and being hit with two separate points deductions last year, Dyche and his troops will likely be happy not travelling too far in pre-season. Therefore, allowing them to focus more on the big kick-off next month.

USA Tour For Ten Premier League Teams

In July and August, the United States of America will play host to ten Premier League teams. The 2024 pre-season schedule will see Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, both Manchester clubs, West Ham and Wolves all feature.

Todd Boehly’s Blues will play the most games in total. The west Londoners will face five teams which include Wrexham, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Villa will play four games across three states with the Gunners, the Red Devils and Arne Slot’s side all set to play three games. Palace, Wolves and West Ham all play each other. Bournemouth will meet Arsenal and Wrexham in California.

2024 Pre-Season: EFL Side Wrexham Return To The USA

After securing back-to-back promotions, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham will continue to enhance their reputation in the USA this summer.

The Welsh side have a growing fan base in the states and they will take on Bournemouth, Chelsea and the Vancouver Whitecaps between July 19-26.

Dubbed the ‘Wrex Coast Tour,’ the Dragons will meet the Premier League duo in California before travelling to Canada to play Vancouver. All in all, Wrexham will cover 11,123 miles. That is more than 13 top-flight sides.
