Easily the best attack-minded midfielder England has ever seen, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard scored 23 Champions League goals in his career. ‘Super Frank’ also chipped in with 27 assists in the 105 Champions League matches he played. A whopping 102 of Lampard’s UCL matches and all of his 23 goals came for the Blues. He played the remaining three as a Manchester City player.

Lampard won the UCL with Chelsea in the 2011-12 season. He scored thrice and claimed three assists en route to victory. His most prolific campaign, meanwhile, was in 2004-05, as he recorded four goals and four assists in 12 games.

Crashing the party of forwards and attack-minded midfielders, one of the best midfielders in Premier League history, Paul Scholes, has clinched the fourth spot. The Manchester United icon played 124 Champions League matches in his career, scoring 24 times and providing 11 assists.

Scholes, who won 11 Premier League titles with the Red Devils, won the Champions League twice. He was a part of the Treble-winning team of 1998-99 and the formidable double winners of 2007-08. He scored four times in 10 games in 1998-99 and struck once in seven games in 2007-08.

The most prolific English winger in Champions League history, Raheem Sterling has captured the third place on this list with his tally of 27 goals in 82 appearances. Sterling has represented Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea in the competition so far and is expected to feature for Arsenal when they take on Atalanta on Thursday, September 19. He provided one assist in six games for Liverpool, scored 24 times and claimed 15 assists in 67 games for Manchester City, and chipped in with three goals and an assist for Chelsea in nine outings.

Sterling, who is still waiting to win the Champions League, enjoyed his best-ever UCL campaign in 2019-20. He scored six goals and provided three assists in nine games for Manchester City that season.

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney enjoyed an excellent run in the UEFA Champions League. During his stay with the Red Devils, Rooney played in 85 Champions League matches, scoring 30 times and claiming providing 21 assists.

Rooney won the Champions League in the 2007-08 season with Man Utd. He scored four goals and bagged an assist in 11 games that season. His most prolific UCL campaign, however, came in 2009-10, as he scored five times in just seven outings.

Arguably the best English striker the game has ever seen, Harry Kane sits at the top of the rankings. The Bayern Munich ace has been in blistering form in the UEFA Champions League, scoring 33 times in 45 appearances so far. He has also showcased his creativity over the years, chipping in with nine assists.

Kane scored 21 goals for Spurs in 32 Champions League games before moving to Bayern Munich last summer. Since joining the Bavaria, he has notched 12 goals in only 13 appearances. Kane, who has yet to lift the trophy, delivered his career-best performance last year, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 12 games as Bayern exited following a defeat to Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
