Remember when Tony Finau didn’t know how to win on the PGA Tour? Yeah, me neither.
After winning just two events in his first 211 starts on Tour, Finau has rattled off three victories in his last seven starts. The 33-year-old won the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open on Sunday in dominant fashion to keep his hot streak going. Thanks to his stellar play over the last few months, Finau has added more than $6 million to his bank account in his last 26 days of work on the PGA Tour.

Finau used to be known as the best golfer in the world who didn’t know how to win, but he’s completely flipped that narrative over the last few months.
It all started with his hot finish to the 2021-22 PGA Tour season. Finau won back-to-back events at the 3M Open and the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July to double his career win total in just two weeks. He followed those victories up with a T5 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, a T28 at the BMW Championship, and a solo ninth at the Tour Championship.
Finau made his 2022-23 season debut at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba last week and missed the cut in puzzling fashion, but he bounced back in a big way by winning the Cadence Bank Houston Open this weekend at 16 under par. The Utah native shot four straight rounds in the 60s and cruised to a four-shot victory without much resistance.
Make that three wins in the last seven starts for Finau, and make that a lucrative few months for the five-time PGA Tour winner.

For the most part, professional golfers don’t make as much money as NBA or NFL players. But if you play as well as Finau has since July, you can get pretty darn close.
Over his last seven starts, Finau has recorded five top-10 finishes and three wins. He’s banked $6,208,250 in prize money over that span. Here’s how he got to that total:
