Sportsbook Tabs Kyle Larson With Top NASCAR Cup Series Title Odds; Austin Cindric Employs ‘Mindset Of Winning’
After learning to race on short dirt tracks in California, NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson has developed into a dominant road-course pilot.
Entering Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, Larson, who captured the summer event at Sonoma Raceway, has compiled five road-course victories, second-most among active drivers. His versatility is a major reason why BetOnline Sportsbook continues to list Larson (+400) as the sports betting favorite to capture his second circuit championship since 2021.
Along with Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott, who has registered seven road-course wins, Larson (+750) was tabbed with second-best odds to win at the new-look, 17-turn, 2.28-mile track. Shane van Gisbergen (+575) remained the favorite.
Larson enjoyed success at the ROVAL before, capturing the 2021 event, despite suffering from an alternator belt issue.

Austin Cindric Spins Into Must-Win Situation At ROVAL
Just when driver Austin Cindric began to believe he would earn a spot in the Round of 8, a Talladega-like incident occurred. And that means only one thing, a late-race pileup.
While some Cup insiders pointed to Brad Keselowski igniting the 28-machine mele, Cindric only knew was taken out from leading last Sunday’s Dega event. He ended up placing P32 And enters next Sunday’s Round of 12 finale ranked No. 11, 29 points below the elimination line.
“We kind of have to go in here with the mindset of winning the race,” Cindric said, via Ford Performance press release. “I think you kind of just have to move past it,” Cindric said. “That’s kind of one that was a lot more in hand, not saying a win was in the hand, but a really good finish and really good points were seemingly in our grasp there and definately changes the outlook for this weekend.”
Cindric’s odds to claim the series title were listed at +6600.
Attempting to put last week’s crash behind, Cindric addressed the changes along Turns 5-7 and the unforgiving frontstretch chicane.
“The frontstretch chicane basically just really (tightened) up the radius of that first apex to finish the lap there … I definitely see that making it more likely to miss the corner, to be quite frank. You’re just basically taking away the runoff and the ability to have a mistake.”
