Who Will New Orleans Start In Week 6?

On Wednesday, head coach Dennis Allen named Spencer Rattler the starting quarterback for Week 6’s game against the Bucs.

Sunday will mark Rattler’s NFL debut and first career start.

Carr suffered his oblique injury in the fourth quarter against the Chiefs. Jake Haener replaced Carr and finished the game completing 2 of 7 passes for 17 yards in a 26-13 loss.

Rattler was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of South Carolina. The rookie had a strong preseason, completing 20 of 38 pass attempts for 202 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Saints Face Pivotal Stretch

The Saints (2-3) are third in the NFC South and face a pivotal stretch of the season.

After a hot start, the Saints have now lost three straight games, with their offense averaging 16 points per game in those losses compared to the 45 points per game in the first two weeks.

The Saints now play two games in five days. After playing the Buccaneers on Sunday, the Saints will host the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football on October 17.
