Patrick Mahomes Stays Extremely Humble While Settling The Debate Of Whether He Is Better Than Tom Brady

Patrick Mahomes became the first quarterback to win back-to-back Super Bowls since Tom Brady in 2003/04. The Kansas City Chiefs are officially a dynasty. Their signal-caller is in the conversation for greatest of all-time and he is only 28 years old.

Because there is (hopefully) still a long way to go before Patrick Mahomes calls it a career, he has a legitimate chance to become the best quarterback in NFL history. He has 17 years to win four additional Super Bowls if he is going to win as many rings as Tom Brady is as many years. It’s possible!

Mahomes’ three Super Bowl MVPs and two NFL MVPs put him in the mix. However, the Chiefs superstar is unwilling to put himself on the same level as Brady. One particular game stands out.

When asked about the comparison after beating the 49ers on Sunday night, Mahomes was very self-reflective and humble.

“To me, it’s always going to be tough because Brady beat me in the Super Bowl,” he said. “That’s one thing he’ll always have on my head.”

Good point. Head-to-head matchups don’t lie!

Despite all of the success Mahomes has had to date, he is not done yet. The Brady talk serves as extra motivation.

“It gives me something to strive for every single day,” he added. “Whenever I’m tired and I don’t want to work, I know that I have to do it in order to be in moments like this.”

And in order to reach Brady in terms of all-time greatness, he is going to have to be in moments like that.

Mahomes is one of the best to ever do it. Will he be the best when it’s all said and done? Maybe. He’s on pace.

However, as the two-time reigning Super Bowl champion and MVP, Mahomes is always going to point to the loss at Super Bowl 55.
