Oneida Indian Nation Breaks Ground on Point Place Casino $50M Expansion

The Oneida Indian Nation broke ground at Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, New York, to begin a $50 million expansion of the property, tribe officials announced Tuesday in a news release.

Point Place Casino is owned by the Oneida Indian Nation and an entity of Turning Stone Enterprises

Local elected officials, community leaders, partners in the building trades, and team members gathered at the casino to celebrate the Oneida Indian Nation’s investment in Madison County.

Point Place Casino is owned by the Oneida Indian Nation and an entity of Turning Stone Enterprises. The casino is a smoke-free gaming and entertainment venue with more than 500 slot machines. It also offers table games, TS Sports, Perfect Pour Cafe, Burgers of Madison County, and the Fireside Lounge.

“When we built Point Place Casino six years ago, we had a vision for what it could become as an entertainment destination and an economic engine for this community,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO, in a statement.

“As with everything we do, that vision was guided by the understanding that if you are not growing, you are going backward. That has been our motto across all of our enterprises. [It’s] the reason we are so committed to constant diversification and growth.”

Onedia Indian Nation has also made investments in two expansions of its gaming floor and Caesars Sportsbook

The Oneida Indian Nation has made multiple investments in Point Place Casino since its grand opening in 2018. Investments include two expansions of its gaming floor and the introduction of Caesars Sportsbook. Plus, the casino added the Perfect Pour Café.

Further expansion of Point Place Casino will include a new luxurious 100-room hotel and a new restaurant. Renovations also include a new perfect Pour Café satellite location in the hotel’s lobby. A new event space and doubling the size of the existing gaming floor are on the agenda.

Additionally, an update of the Fireside Lounge is listed as a renovation project. The goal is to double its current size and add a 360-degree view of the wood-burning fireplace with cozy new seating.

The 65,000-square-foot gaming and dining facility features a modern Las Vegas-style gaming floor. Electronic Roulette and Big-Six are among the popular games offered.

Investment in the property will generate more than 200 construction jobs

The Oneida Indian Nation’s investment in the property will also generate more than 200 construction jobs. This project is expected to grow regional tourism. It will create new opportunities for Turning Stone Enterprises team members as well.

“The Oneida Indian Nation has created many good things that have impacted this region that we all benefit from, from helping win American independence two-and-a-half centuries ago to the significant economic role it plays today in our county,” said Madison County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jim Cunningham in a statement.

“It has created so many good jobs in Central New York and we are so fortunate to have the Nation here.”

Another investment includes the creation of the Nation’s new Play On slot parlor at the Verona Crossroads retail plaza. The Nation also owns Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona.
