Ocean Casino Resort Launches Olympic Pop Up Medal Bar in Atlantic City

Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is launching its Olympic-themed “Medal Bar: The Summer Games Pop Up Experience” to pay homage to the Paris Olympics. Medal Bar is located within the 1927 Lounge. The lounge is located across from The Gallery and adjacent to Asian Table Games.

Medal Bar at Ocean Casino Resort will be open daily from Friday, July 26 through Sunday, August 11

According to the press release, Ocean Casino Resort will open Medal Bar daily from Friday, July 26 through Sunday, August 11. The Pop Up Experience will showcase all of the Olympic events and competitions.

Medal Bar’s opening ceremony was held on Friday, June 28, hosted by Gold Medal Winning Gymnast, and member of Team USA’s Magnificent Seven, Dominique Dawes.

“We are so excited to embrace this celebratory global event as only Ocean can,” said Kelly Burke, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for Ocean Casino Resort.

“From specialty themed cocktails and décor to iconic athletes and gaming activations; Medal Bar will be a must-see destination for our guests this summer.”

Medal Bar will offer “an international flair with Americana spirit” and honor the host city of Paris. Guests will be able to sip drinks, play games, and cheer for their favorite athlete and/or country.

Furthermore, the bar will feature multiple large-screen TVs for guests to watch the Olympic Games. Future bets are also live at The Gallery. After placing a bet, patrons can head over to Medal Bar.

When the Olympics begin, The Gallery will have lines on basketball, soccer, swimming, boxing, tennis, volleyball, and more. Available future bets include “Nation With Most Gold Medals” and “Nation With Most Medals.”

Live music is played every Friday and Saturday starting at 6 p.m.

The festivities began on June 28 with an appearance by Dawes. In fact, the celebratory event extends through Labor Day Weekend, according to the casino’s press release.

Moreover, guests also celebrated the start of summer with the third annual North Beach Fireworks Spectacular on June 28. The demonstration, in partnership with Fireworks by Grucci, showcased a beautiful ocean-front fireworks display. It was presented by North Beach Atlantic City as well.

Normal operating hours for Medal Bar are Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. It will also be open on Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sundays from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Guests can enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday starting at 6 p.m.

Ocean Casino Resort was named “Best Casino” by Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best of Philly 2023” awards. The casino resort features 1,860 guest rooms and suites and 135,000 square feet of gaming entertainment.

The casino has over 1,750 slot machines, 125 gaming tables, and 160,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. It also has 90,000 square feet of unique outdoor space and five upscale dining restaurants.

Additionally, the resort features 10 casual dining options, a 40,000-square-foot spa, six signature day and nightlife experiences, and a 4,500-seat concert venue.
