Tua Tagovailoa, Jordan Love Sign Massive Extensions

Last week, Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa and Green Bay’s Jordan Love inked massive extensions with the Dolphins and Packers, respectively.

Tagovailoa signed a four-year, $212.4 million extension with $167 million guaranteed. It’s the largest deal signed by a player in the Dolphins’ history.

Tagovailoa has a career year in 2023, throwing for an NFL-best 4,624 passing yards, with 29 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and a 101.1 passer rating. Tagovailoa was named to the AFC’s roster for the 2024 Pro Bowl.

Tagovailoa led the Dolphins to an 11-6 regular season record, securing a spot in the playoffs. The Dolphins lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round.

Soon after Tagovailoa’s contract, Love reset the quarterback market with a massive four-year, $220 million contract extension.

Love’s contract includes $155 million in guarantees, including a record-breaking $75 million signing bonus.

In his first season as Green Bay’s full-time starter, Love threw for 4,159 yards with 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Love and the Packers went into Dallas and beat the Cowboys in the Wild Card Round.

In the Divisional Round, the Packers lost to the San Francisco 49ers the following week.
