NBA Teams With The Most Expensive Tickets

In looking at the data, there are some obvious trends. The big market franchises like the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers are at the top of the list when it comes to the highest average ticket price. Those two teams along with the Golden State Warriors are the only three to have an average get-in price of over $100, with the LA Clippers and Boston Celtics rounding out the top 5.

As for the highest single-ticket price, the two games at the top of the list both fall on Christmas Day.

The matchup in San Francisco between the Warriors and Lakers has a get-in price of $400, the costliest ticket in the NBA this season. It is one of three matchups between the teams that lands in the top-5, with the other two coming in at around $300.

Across the country, Victor Wembanyama will be making his only appearance of the year at Madison Square Garden on December 25th when the Spurs take on the Knicks. It is the most expensive ticket for the team with the highest price average, with the get-in price sitting at $386.

Which NBA Teams Have The Cheapest Tickets?

On the other end of the spectrum, many of the teams that are projected to finish at the bottom of the standings are also at the bottom of the list of ticket price averages.

The Portland Trail Blazers have the cheapest average get-in price in the NBA, which sits at $16. Seven of their home games feature single-ticket prices of $7 or lower, and the total cost to attend all 40 games is $639, or roughly the amount of two Warriors vs Lakers games.

The Jazz, Hornets, and Wizards all have average costs of about $20, and the Rockets have the 5th cheapest at $21. Along with Portland, Charlotte and Washington have games that feature $5 get-in prices, which is the least-expensive ticket in the league this season. The Bucks, somewhat surprisingly, have a game against the Pistons with a price tag of $8.
