Bronny James talks to the media during the 2024 NBA Draft Combine.

Round 2 of the 2024 NBA Draft begins on Thursday, June 27, at 4 p.m. ET. All eyes will be on USC guard Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. Will the 19-year-old hear his name called today? Below are the potential landing spots for Bronny James.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are the overwhelming favorites to draft James.

LeBron has expressed a desire to play with his son, and this might be the best opportunity he has to make that dream a reality.

The Lakers and the Phoenix Suns are the only two teams James worked out for in the pre-draft process.

The Lakers hold pick No. 55. If James is still on the board that late, don’t be surprised if Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka takes the USC product.

Phoenix Suns

To reiterate, James worked out for Phoenix in the weeks leading up to the draft.

There was speculation that the Suns would use their lone first-round pick to draft James. However, Phoenix selected Virginia wing Ryan Dunn.

Phoenix acquired the No. 56 pick in the draft in a trade with the Denver Nuggets. No. 56 is one pick behind the Lakers. If Phoenix wants James, they will likely have to trade up or hope the Lakers do not take him at No. 55.

Other Options

No other teams have been linked to James besides the Lakers and Suns.

However, a team looking to acquire LeBron in free agency could select his son to entice the four-time NBA champion to sign with their organization.

The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to go big-game hunting for a star this offseason. The 76ers can offer LeBron a max contract. Philadelphia owns the No. 41 pick.
