NASCAR: Quaker State 400 available at Walmart

Receiving a friendly push from Tem Penske teammate Ryan Blaney, NASCAR Cup Series driver Joey Logano cruised to an overtime win during Sunday’s Quaker State 400 available at Walmart victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Logano captured the playoff-opening event as a wreck developed behind the start/finish line.

Never a dull moment at the 1.54-mile quad-oval, right?

“So, pulling into Victory Lane here is always a special one,” Logano said, per NASCAR.com. “We had such a really good team here today.”

A one-time resident of Hampton, Ga., Logano grew up racing Legend Cars at the superspeedway.

The victory guaranteed Logano will advance to the Round of 12, which begins Sept. 29 at Kansas Speedway.
