Lori Kalani has been hired by DraftKings to be their first-ever Chief Responsible Gaming Officer

DraftKings CEO Jason Robins is serious about his company’s commitment to responsible gambling. That is why they’ve hired their first-ever Chief Responsible Gaming Officer, Lori Kalani. She will report directly to Robins and will be key in providing player safety and protection in all forms of the community. 

Lori Kalani was previously a partner at the Cozen O’Connor law firm. Additionally, she Co-chair the State Attorney’s General practice. On top of that, Kalani has backgrounds in gaming, social media, telecommunication, hospitality, and healthcare. All of that knowledge made her the ideal candidate to help promote and regulate responsible gaming practices within the DraftKings network.

In her career, Lori Kalani has worked with regulators, attorney generals, and other key stakeholders. Additionally, she has extensive experience in consumer protection law. That made her the ideal candidate for DraftKings. Kalani had this to say in a statement about joining Draftkings.

Moving forward, there will be a lot for Lori Kalani to monitor. DraftKings offers mobile betting along with physical casinos in several states. One of her responsibilities will be balanced gaming growth and the promotion of responsible gambling. 

DraftKings CEO Jason Robins has spoken publicly about problem gambling in the past, This is an issue the company is looking to tackle first-hand. Hence, the hiring of Lori Kalani. Reproductive gaming includes drawing bettors away from illegal markets and using legal sportsbooks and casinos like DraftKings. With gambling not legalized in all 50 states, bettors gamble won illegal markets if their states had gambling outlawed.
