Lonzo Ball Suffers Another Setback As Chicago Bulls Star Suffers An Injury To His Right Wrist
Lonzo Ball’s much anticipated NBA return has hit another roadblock after suffering an injury to his right wrist.
Just three games into his comeback from a two-plus year absence due to chronic knee injuries, the former No. 2 overall pick has suffered a sprained wrist.
The injury occurred during the Chicago Bulls’ victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night and will sideline Ball for at least 10 days.
While the news is undoubtedly disappointing, it’s a relief that the injury isn’t to his troubled left knee, which has required multiple surgeries and kept him off the court for the better part of three seasons.
Ball’s initial knee injury, diagnosed as a bone bruise in January 2022, later progressed into a meniscus tear that required surgery. Despite initial optimism for a swift recovery, complications arose, leading to additional procedures and prolonged absences.

In a desperate attempt to salvage his career, Ball underwent a groundbreaking cartilage and meniscus transplant in March 2023, a procedure that raised significant doubts about his future in the NBA.
However, against all odds, he made a remarkable comeback, showcasing glimpses of his former brilliance in the early stages of this season.
While this latest setback is undoubtedly frustrating, it’s crucial to maintain perspective. The Bulls and their fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery and a return to the court for Ball, who remains a vital piece of their long-term plans.
