Real Madrid Ace Kylian Mbappe Is The Most Valuable Player In The World

Following an update to Football Benchmark’s 10,000-player-strong database, Real Madrid ace Kylian Mbappe has appeared as the most valuable soccer star in the world. Los Blancos, meanwhile, have topped the squad valuation rankings, claiming the #1 spot ahead of Premier League duo Manchester City and Arsenal.

Kylian Mbappe is the Most Valuable Player As Per Football Benchmark, Erling Haaland is a Distant Second

According to Football Benchmark, Mbappe, who sealed his highly anticipated move to Real Madrid in July, is worth an astonishing €233.3 million ($257.3 million). Manchester City goalmachine Erling Haaland is in second place with a valuation of €190.7 million ($209.6 million).

Real Madrid pair Jude Bellingham (€183.4 million – $202.3 million) and Vinicius Jr. (€175.6 million – $193.7 million) and Arsenal poster boy Bukayo Saka (€150.9 million – $166.4 million) round off the top five. #6 Phil Foden (€145.8 million – $160.8 million) and #10 Declan Rice (€118 million – $130.2 million) are the other two Premier League stars on the top 10 list.

Barcelona’s boy wonder Lamine Yamal has claimed the #9 spot in the rankings with a valuation of €124.3 million ($137.1 million). Gaining a whopping €46 million ($50.7 million) since Football Benchmark’s last update in June, Yamal has emerged as the most improved player in the rankings.

Meanwhile, when considering players outside the top 10 European leagues, Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov has emerged as the most valuable. The 22-year-old is worth €34.3 million ($37.8 million) as per Football Benchmark.

Real Madrid Has the Most Valuable Squad, Premier League Clubs Dominate Top 10

With Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr. all plying their trade at Real Madrid, it is hardly a surprise that Los Merengues have the most valuable squad in the world. According to the data from Football Benchmark, Real Madrid’s squad is worth a whopping €1,373 million ($1514 million). Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has gained €243 million ($268 million) since the last update in June.

In the second place, we have Manchester City with a combined squad valuation of €1,297 million ($1430 million). The Cityzens have seen their valuation drop by €71 million ($78 million) over the last four months.

A total of six Premier League clubs feature in the top 10 rankings. In addition to City in second place, we have Arsenal (€1203 million – $1326 million) in third, Liverpool (€1006 million – $1109 million) in fifth, Manchester United (€986 million – $1087 million) in sixth, Chelsea (€965 million – $1064 million) in eighth, and finally, Tottenham Hotspur (€821 million – $905 million) in 10th.

Outside the top 10 European leagues, we have Brazilian side Flamengo at the top, with their squad valuation sitting at €210 million ($231 million).
