Full House Resorts Unveils Location of Proposed New Haven Casino

Full House Resorts unveiled the location of its proposed New Haven casino in Indiana. The $500 million casino project is set for a 65.5-acre lot on the corner of South Doyle and Harper roads.

New Haven casino construction project will be split into two phases, Full House Resorts announced

“We’re seeing what kind of support we have from the local governing bodies, and we’ll go from there,” said Alex Stolyar, Chief Development Officer with Full House Resorts.

Full House owns the Rising Star casino in Ohio County, Indiana, in the city of Rising Sun. Furthermore, the company held a meeting Monday evening regarding the casino at the New Haven Community Center.

Additionally, the plan is to move the casino to Allen County. The two-phase project aims to bring a “first-class” venue to northeast Indiana – a region of the state that currently has no casinos.

“Phase one, we would get the casino, the restaurants, nice speakeasy lounge, really just a high-quality sportsbook, high-quality first-class destination,” Stolyar said. “Then phase two, we would add a hotel and a live event center, and probably some additional [food and beverage] options.”

Phase two includes a 200-room luxury hotel, premium spa and salon, and entertainment venues

Following Full House Resorts’ meeting, the company shared its presentation with WANE 15 News. Renderings of the latest casino project were presented, along with projected tax revenue and employment figures.

Furthermore, phase one and phase two are both $250 million minimum investments, according to the 24-page .pdf file. The first phase includes installing state-of-the-art slot machines, table games, and the entertainment lounge.

In fact, the new casino will be the regional entertainment destination, appealing to both gamers and non-gamers. A 200-room luxury hotel, premium spa and salon, live event/concert venue, and additional dining and entertainment venues are planned.

Moreover, over 5,500 workers will be employed for both combined phases. Approximately 20% of the local taxes will go to homestead property tax rebates. Another 20% will be allocated to a public health and safety commission.
