Fanatics Sportsbook Launches Sports Betting in Louisiana

Fanatics Sportsbook has officially launched in Louisiana in partnership with Boomtown Casino & Hotel. The Fanatics sports betting app is available on both iOS and Android.

Louisiana becomes the 22nd state to launch Fanatics Sportsbook

Louisiana is the 22nd state where Fanatics is currently accepting online sports bets. Fanatics gamblers have up to 10% in FanCash back on any bet and the ability to stream football, hockey, and tennis events while using the app.

The revamped FanCash feature allows fans to earn jerseys, bonus bets, and other perks. Fanatics will also feature a “robust parlay offering,” according to the press release, with “Pre-Game and In-Game Same Game Parlay markets, the ability to stack your Same Game Parlays and pre-built Same Game Parlays to save time.”

The Florida-based operator picked the perfect time to launch, just ahead of the college football and NFL seasons. Fanatics will deliver marquee games, key stats, and trending bets delivered straight to the Discover feed.

After placing a wager, Fanatics Sportsbook customers can now stream football, hockey, and tennis events directly in the app. The state is home to two professional sports teams: the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Louisiana first launched legalized sports betting in October 2021

The Bayou State first entered the sports betting market in October 2021 with the launch of retail sports betting. Mobile sports betting followed shortly in January 2022.

In April, the sportsbooks completed its acquisition of PointsBet for $225 million.

“The acquisition of the U.S. businesses of PointsBet has supercharged our expansion plans,” Fanatics CEO Matt King said in April. “In addition to our migration of PointsBet customers and technology to the Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino platform, we have also added an incredibly talented team of passionate leaders from the ranks of PointsBet USA that have already made an impact on our business.”

Since April, Fanatics has launched online sports betting in Arizona, New Jersey, and Wyoming, along with a retail sportsbook location in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in March.

Fanatics is the 10th sportsbook to launch in Louisiana, joining bet365, Betfred, BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars, ClutchBet, DraftKings, ESPN BET, and FanDuel.
