East Lake Golf Club Scorecard for Tour Championship 2024

The Tour Championship is back in Atlanta, Georgia and will be hosted at the iconic East Lake Golf Club in 2024. The top 30 players on the FedEx Cup rankings will tee off at the newly renovated course from Thursday, August 29, to Sunday, September 1st.

With a brand new layout and a $25 million paycheck up for grabs, the Tour Championship will be a must-watch golf tournament this weekend.

Renowned architect Andrew Green redesigned East Lake Golf Club last year, which should give this year’s tournament a fresh look and feel, even for some of the world’s top golfers. The course has significantly improved, stretching 7,490 yards for a par-71.

Below, we’ll give an overview of the East Lake Golf Club course, including a summary of the front and back nine and the scorecard for the 2024 Tour Championship.

Tour Championship 2024 Scorecard Summary

  • Front 9: Par 35, 3,715 Yards
  • Back 9: Par 36, 3,775 yards
  • Total: Par 71, 7,490 yards

The East Lake Golf Club has been the home of the Tour Championship since 2004. While the course’s first time hosting the Tour Championship was in 1998, East Lake has been a staple on the PGA Tour.

Known as the home course of the legendary Bobby Jones, the East Lake Golf Club is rich in history. Established in 1904, it is the oldest golf course in Atlanta.

In 2023, after Viktor Hovland won his first-ever Tour Championship, Andrew Green started renovating the course. Not only is the course longer, but two new par–5s have been added.

The legendary course will test the top golfers in the world this weekend, especially with the monstrous hole 1, a par-4 that stretches 510 yards. When players visited East Lake earlier this week, they couldn’t believe the sights of the new layout.

While East Lake was known as a one-dimensional test, Green’s visions have produced a course worthy of testing the game’s best in new and inspiring ways. The course features newly added bunkers, alternate route capability, long par-5s, and a new strategic use of the lake.

3 Holes To Watch At The Tour Championship

  • Hole 1 — Par 4, 510 yards
  • Hole 2 — Par 3, 205 yards
  • Hole14— Par 5, 580 yards

Last year’s winner, Hovland, was shocked when practicing on East Lake earlier this week.

“I only played the front yesterday, and just as soon as I walked on the property, I was kind of shocked,” Hovland said Tuesday. “It looks nothing like it used to.”

The course is now a par-71 and stretches 7,455 yards. Compared to last year, the holes look entirely different. The new use of bunkers, removal of trees, extending water into play, the course is set to challenge even the most comfortable at East Lake this weekend.

Some of the hardest holes on the course include Holes 1, 2, and 14, which have been redesigned to stretch even longer than last year.
