DraftKings at Casino Queens in East St. Louis, Illinois, is hosting two job fairs to interview interested candidates on the spot for part-time and full-time positions at the events on Saturday, Aug. 17 and Thursday, Aug. 22.

DraftKings at Casino Queens will be hosting two job fairs at the Hotel Ballroom to fill over a dozen positions

Both in-person events will be held at the Casino Queen Hotel Ballroom at 200 Front Street in East St. Louis, Illinois. The job fairs will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 17 and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 22.  

Available jobs include barback, bartender, busser, cashier attendant, cocktail server, cook, F&B supervisor, food server, room attendant, table games dealer, pit boss, marketing coordinator, marketing supervisor, security officer, and more. 

According to the DraftKings at Casino Queens website, the casino offers top industry pay, a fun work environment, shift differential starting from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and it’s a smoke-free environment.

These jobs also come with comprehensive health-care packages, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401K with company match, and more. Business casual attire is required. Candidates must bring an updated résumé as well.

Security officer, writer cashier positions require licenses

Furthermore, security officers are responsible for safeguarding the assets of DraftKings at Casino Queen and its guests. Security is required to protect guests and employees. Guards are responsible for reporting incidents, accidents, and illnesses that occur during the assigned shift.

In fact, security officers must be able to speak fluently in English. They are also required to have a valid driver’s license and must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License.

Writer cashiers are responsible for providing DraftKings at Casino Queen with excellent guest experience and service. This means writing sports tickets and providing information to guests when needed. In addition to protecting assets, they must adhere to all company policies and IGB gaming regulations.

Writer cashiers are required to be at least 21 years old and be able to obtain an IGB level 2 license. Basic math skills, excellent written and verbal forms of communication, and cash handling experience are necessary.
