Will the Los Angeles Rams trade Cooper Kupp? According to The Athletic, the Rams have already explored a Kupp trade. What are the Rams looking for in return?

Cooper Kupp Could Be Traded Before Deadline

The Rams have reportedly called multiple teams about trading Kupp, per Dianna Russini, Mike Silver, and Jourdan Rodrigue.

The Rams are seeking a second-round pick for Kupp. The former Super Bowl MVP entered the 2024 season with a salary of $15 million and a cap number of $29 million. Kupp is also due a $7.5 million roster bonus in March, with $5 million guaranteed.

Per The Athletic, the Rams informed teams that they would be “open” to taking on some of Kupp’s remaining 2024 salary to make a deal.

Kupp, 31, has not played since Week 2 after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Arizona Cardinals. Kupp has 18 receptions for 147 yards and a touchdown in 2024.

Kupp is expected to play for the Rams (2-4) in their Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings (5-1) on Thursday Night Football.

Cooper Kupp Trade Destinations

Which teams will be in the running to acquire Kupp?

The Kansas City Chiefs are a logical destination for Kupp’s next team. The defending Super Bowl champions are looking to replace the production of Rashee Rice, who suffered a season-ending injury.

Even though he’s been out since Week 2, Kupp would be third on the Chiefs in catches behind Travis Kelce (28) and Rice (24).

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been trying to add another receiver for months. Pittsburgh failed to acquire Brandon Aiyuk and Davante Adams. Kupp would provide another weapon for a Steelers’ offense that desperately needs another explosive player.

The New York Giants need more help than just a receiver, but the addition of Kupp would add another dynamic pass-catcher to pair with Malik Nabers.

The NFL trade deadline is November 5.
