Entering Round of 8, Sportsbook Tabs Corey Heim, Christian Eckes With Top NASCAR Truck Series Championship Odds
Driver Corey Heim established the No. 11 Toyota team as a betting favorite to capture the NASCAR Truck Series championship by capturing last Friday’s Kubota Tractor 200 at Kansas Speedway.
Of course, a little luck helped, too.
The No. 98 Ford of Ty Majeski, also a playoff pilot, ran out of gas with the white flag in view, allowing Heim to venture to Victory Lane for the sixth time this season.
Among bigger sports betting news, Ben Rhodes, the reigning circuit champion, was eliminated from postseason contention.
With the Truck Series opening the Round of 8 with Friday’s Love’s RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, Heim and Eckes share the top betting odds at +150, according to BetOnline Sportsbook.
Heim paces the playoffs points standings, 38 points above the Championship 4 cutoff line. Rajah Caruth sits eight points below Nicholas Sanchez for the final spot as the circuit travels to the iconic 2.66-mile tri-oval track.

Niece Motorsports Signs Kaden Honeycutt
Driver prospect Kaden Honeycutt received a full-time promotion for 2025 from Niece Motorsports, the Salisbury, N.C.-based organization announced Monday.
Honeycutt will continue to pilot the No. 45 Chevrolet following a successful audition this season. After compiling five top-10 finishes in 10 outings, the 21-year-old driver will be eager to compete for a points title.
“I can’t even begin to tell you how much this opportunity means to me,” Honeycutt said via press release. “Before I got connected with Al (Niece) and Cody (Efaw), last year, I thought my career was over. Both of them took a big chance on me leading into this year and it’s kept me hungry to make them proud.
“My group of guys on the No. 45 team have become brothers to me, and we’ve been able to share such a good relationship.”
Honeycutt, 21, has experience in the CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series, CARS Tour Late Model Stock and Hunt the Front Dirt Late Model Series.
Last week, Niece Motorsports re-signed Matt Mills to a one-year contract extension.
