Cleveland Browns Za’Darius Smith will likely be traded before the Nov. 5 deadline. Where will Smith wind up? View the potential destination for Smith’s next team below.

Za’Darius Smith Trade Rumors

On Monday’s Pat McAfee Show, ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes the Browns will deal Smith before the trade deadline.

“We keep waiting for Cleveland to trade Za’Darius Smith,” he added. “Another guy that I think will be on the lookout here to get traded. Those are some obvious names, as we speak. There will be others.”

Smith, 32, is in the midst of a solid season for the Browns with five sacks and 22 tackles.

Cleveland sits at 2-6, so it might be in their best interest to acquire the best draft pick for Smith, which will likely be a Day 3 selection.

The Detroit Lions (6-1) are a potential landing spot for Smith. After losing Aidan Hutchinson, the Lions desperately need another pass-rusher. Detroit has a Super Bowl-caliber roster, so a Day 3 draft pick means nothing if it helps them win games this year.

The Atlanta Falcons (5-3) are a team that would be interested in acquiring Smith to bolster their pass rush.

Atlanta selected quarterback Michael Penix in the top 10 of the 2024 NFL Draft instead of taking a defensive player.

Trading for Smith allows Atlanta to finally add another pass rusher to an average defense.

Also, keep an eye on the Chicago Bears (4-3), who might want another defensive lineman to play alongside Montez Sweat.
