Less than 24 hours after their loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Jets acquired Adams from the Raiders in a blockbuster trade.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Raiders traded Adams to the Jets for a 2025 conditional third-round draft pick.

The third-round pick becomes a second-round pick if Adams becomes a first- or second-team All-Pro this season, or if he’s on the roster if the Jets make the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl LIX.

Adams, 32, has agreed to restructure his contract for 2024 to lessen the salary cap hit. This means Adams’ salary will likely have to be adjusted in 2025 and 2026.

After weeks of speculation, the Jets finally landed Adams, adding another weapon to this offense.

The Jets (2-4) will try to salvage their season on Sunday night when they hit the road to play the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2).

The happiest person on the Jets right now is quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who reunites with his favorite target from their days with the Green Bay Packers.

From 2014 to 2021, Rodgers and Adams formed one of the NFL’s best duos, connecting on 615 completions, 7,529 yards, and 68 touchdowns.

Adams, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, joins a Jets’ group of pass catchers featuring Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.

Adams is currently nursing a hamstring injury, which caused him to miss the last three games. His availability for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh is unknown at this time.
