NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals 250: Qualifying, Jesse Love’s Pole Position, Lineup At Talladega Superspeedway
NASCAR Xfinity Series teammates were scheduled to fill out the opening two rows for Saturday’s United Rentals 250 at Talladega Speedway.
Up front, Richard Childress Racing machines possessed the front row with Jesse Love, who turned a hot lap of 181.129 mph to capture the pole position during the qualifying session. The rookie edged runner-up teammate Austin Hill by 0.104 seconds.
In the second row, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Chandler Smith was scheduled to start P3 and Sheldon Creed fourth.
Love entered the Round of 8 event ranked No. 7 in the playoff standings, two points ahead of No. 8 Riley Herbst and four above No. 9 Justin Allgaier.
For Love, he earned his fifth start on the inside of the front row this season.

NASCAR Officials Levy Fines on 2 Teams
NASCAR Xfinity Series officials handed out fines to two teams following last Saturday’s race at Kansas Speedway.
JR Motorsports crew chief Adam Wall and Kaulig Racing crew chief Kevin Walter $5,000 each after a single lug nut was found to be unsecured on the respective No. 9 Chevrolet and No. 97 Chevrolet machines.
Brandon Jones, the driver of the No. 9 machine, earned a P6 during the Kansas Lottery 300 and Shane van Gisbergen, the No. 97 pilot, placed P8. Aric Almirola won the event.
