Beginning with Sunday’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, the circuit’s final five races could provide the stock-car racing industry with a ratings boost. NASCAR officials announced a second season of Netflix’s “NASCAR: Full Speed.”

NASCAR Officials Staging Talladega Tests
NASCAR Cup Series officials plan to execute aerodynamic alterations on the machines before the Cup Series’ Round of 12 events at Talladega Superspeedway.
The changes the sanctioning body mandated included the addition of an extended-height roof rail, rocker panel skirt and fabric beneath the right-side roof flap. These changes should cut down on the risks of a machine becoming airborne during an accident at the iconic 2.66-mile track.
Here’s hoping the changes keep the potential problems grounded.
