- AL Wild Card tickets ($157) are 107.7% more expensive than NL Wild Card tickets ($75.60) for potential playoff teams.
- The average ticket price for MLB Wild Card games is $116.70.
The MLB Playoffs begin with the Wild Card games. The best-of-three Wild Card Series runs from October 1-3.
As the MLB heads into its final weekend of the regular season, multiple scenarios must play out to determine seeding.
Each Wild Card Series game will be played in the home park of the team with the higher seed.
Not every team in this article will make the Wild Card Series. However, teams have already listed ticket prices for their home games if they host the Wild Card Series.

Five AL teams are competing to host the Wild Card Series: the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, and Minnesota Twins. Only two teams will host games in their ballparks during the Wild Card round.
The Tigers ($490) have the highest average get-in price in the Wild Card Series. The Tigers are looking to clinch their first berth since 2014.
The Royals ($112) are second to the Tigers for the highest average get-in price. The Royals have not appeared in the postseason since winning the 2015 World Series.
The Orioles ($104), Twins ($55), and Astros ($24) round out the rankings.

The Padres ($115) have the highest average get-in ticket price for the Wild Card round. The Padres last appeared in the postseason in 2022, where lost in the NLCS to the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Atlanta Braves ($107) are the only other NL team with an average get-in price of over $100. If the Braves make the postseason, they will attempt to win their second World Series.
The Mets ($81.67), Diamondbacks ($53), and Brewers ($21.33) are the other teams who could potentially host Wild Card games.
