Donn Davis, co-owner of PFL, has claimed that the upcoming “Battle of the Giants” pay-per-view event will be more expensive to produce than UFC 306. The event, which is headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champion Renan Ferreira and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, is set for October 19th at The Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Davis believes that this event will be the biggest MMA event of 2024 due to the main and co-main events. He acknowledges that the UFC is a larger company, but insists that PFL is putting on a bigger event.

PFL’s number one goal is to put on the highest quality MMA fights for fans around the world. Davis wants to show fans that PFL can put on a product that is just as good, or even better, than any other organization. Financially, PFL hopes to do well with the event, but Davis admits that the cost is “astronomical”.

According to Davis, the cost of this fight is more than the $20 million Dana White spent on UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Fighters are being paid more for this event, and the card itself features more big fights.

The card also features a women’s featherweight title bout between champion Larissa Pacheco and Cris Cyborg, as well as Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen and A.J. McKee.

PFL’s commitment to quality is evident in the fighters that they have signed for this event. Ngannou is one of the best heavyweights in the world, and Ferreira is a proven champion. Pacheco is a dominant force in the women’s featherweight division, and Cyborg is a legend in the sport. Eblen is a rising star in the middleweight division, and McKee is a former Bellator champion.

PFL is also putting on a number of other events throughout the year, including a Challenger Series that gives up-and-coming fighters a chance to earn a spot on the main roster.

PFL is a relatively new organization, but they are making a big splash in the MMA world. With their commitment to quality and their willingness to spend money on big fights, PFL is a force to be reckoned with. It will be interesting to see how they continue to grow in the years to come.
