One of the breakout stars of the 2024 Paris Olympics is Stephen Nedoroscik. The 25-year-old is a member of the U.S. men’s gymnastics team.
Nedoroscik qualified for the men’s national gymnastics team to compete in one event: pommel horse.
When it was his turn to shine, Nedoroscik delivered, nailing his routine to help clinch the bronze medal for the United States in the team final.
This was the U.S.’s first Olympic men’s gymnastics medal in the team competition since 2008.

Before stepping up to the pommel horse, Nedoroscik began to go viral on social media thanks to his trademark glasses and relaxed approach.
Nedoroscik instantly garnered Clark Kent comparisons, gaining fan support as he patiently waited for his turn to compete.
Nedoroscik sat for nearly three hours during the first five rotations of the team final. When it was finally time for Nedoroscik to compete, he removed his glasses and stepped up to the pommel horse.
Nedoroscik scored a 14.866 on the pommel horse, which propelled the U.S. onto the podium in the bronze position.
