The FedEx Cup isn’t the ultimate prize on the PGA Tour because of the shiny trophy or the history involved with the event. No, it’s the ultimate prize because of the epic bag of cash the winner gets to take home with them.

This year, that bag will be larger than it’s ever been in FedEx Cup Playoffs history. So, how much money will the winner of this year’s race to the FedEx Cup bank, and how will the record-setting prize money pool be split among the top-30 finishers?

The winner of the FedEx Cup Playoffs will earn a record-setting paycheck

With LIV Golf offering players nine-digit contracts to join the rival league, the PGA Tour has been forced to step up its game when it comes to winner’s paychecks. That’s exactly what it has done for the FedEx Cup Playoffs this season.

The winner of the season-long race to the FedEx Cup title will take home a whopping $18 million, which will mark the largest payout for a single event in golf history. That’s a $3 million upgrade from last year’s FedEx Cup when Patrick Cantlay won $15 million for his impressive triumph.

It won’t just be the winner who brings home a mountain of cash, though. The top four players in the final FedEx Cup standings will all take home at least $4 million. For reference, the largest winner’s payout this season was $3.6 million for Cameron Smith at the Players Championship.
