Let’s just say that Tua Tagovailoa should be excited for the opportunities he’s set to receive throughout the Miami Dolphins‘ 2022 NFL schedule.

The 24-year-old quarterback still hasn’t proved himself the long-term face of the franchise, and he’s coming off a season in which he led the Dolphins to a 7-5 record during his starts while completing 67.8% of his passes for 2,653 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He’s done enough to keep receiving chances, but those opportunities will dwindle quickly if he can’t make the most of a stellar pass-catching corps.

Jaylen Waddle caught 104 passes for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie and should only improve while working under Wes Welker’s supervision. Tyreek Hill is pretty fast and should quickly show that he was more than a product of Patrick Mahomes’ bazooka arm. Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert give Miami more juice in the backfield and should take away some of the pressure on Tagovailoa’s left arm.

The Dolphins had the NFL’s No. 22 scoring offense last year, but they’re ramping up to much bigger and better things. And if that doesn’t happen, well, Teddy Bridgewater is waiting in the wings, and Miami might not be too patient.
